The division works closely across the business to enhance service excellence, strengthen customer loyalty, support profitability objectives, and reinforce the Toyota brand through high-quality products, services, and customer-focused solutions. The Warranty Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting Toyota's warranty and compliance operations through the analysis, management, and reporting of customer and warranty-related data. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate customer and SAP records, analysing warranty performance and repair trends, preparing warranty, recall and compliance reports, and supporting government reporting requirements. The role contributes to the development and maintenance of warranty policies, implementation of customer outreach initiatives, and delivery of warranty-related projects, while proactively identifying risks, emerging concerns, process improvements, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) opportunities. Working closely with internal stakeholders, the Warranty Data Analyst ensures the integrity, accuracy, and clarity of warranty and compliance data, enabling informed decision-making, effective communication, and adherence to Toyota standards, government regulations, and legal requirements. The role also supports the achievement of Quality and Service Division objectives by helping to drive the adoption of improvement initiatives and facilitating the timely resolution of issues that enhance customer outcomes and business performance. This role is based in Altona North and offers flexible working arrangements. While travel is not a regular requirement, there may be occasional interstate or international travel to support business initiatives, projects, and stakeholder engagement activities.

How you’ll make an impact
  • Analyse warranty, recall and field action data to identify emerging product quality concerns, trends and potential impacts on customers and the business.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of recalls, field actions and customer outreach initiatives to support customer-first outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver meaningful reports, insights and recommendations to support business performance, profitability, budgeting and informed decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance data sources, reporting frameworks, dashboards and analytical tools to improve data quality and reporting capability.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) opportunities, using data-driven insights to strengthen processes, improve stakeholder outcomes and support operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to provide analytical support, build capability and contribute to the successful delivery of quality and service initiatives.
Your attributes
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Commerce, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive or Industrial).
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting and business insights, with exposure to warranty administration, product quality, customer analytics, field campaigns, recalls, aftersales operations or dealer network support.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, data modelling and dashboard development, with experience creating insightful and user-friendly reports.
  • Proven capability in Power BI dashboard and report development, including experience extracting, manipulating and analysing large datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of data cleansing, validation, statistical analysis, predictive analytics and data modelling techniques to support informed business decision-making.
  • Experience in financial reporting and cost analysis, combined with strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement (Kaizen) capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
