We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Storeperson for our dayshift operations in Traralgon. The ideal candidate will hold a valid & current forklift license, Heavy Rigid license (to assist with occasional deliveries) and be eager to contribute to our dynamic team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 12:00pm. Flexibility in start and finish times are required, as some overtime may be required from time to time.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Performing manual tasks including loading and unloading goods, bending, lifting, and carrying
- Completing pre-start checklists and inspections on forklifts, reporting any defects or issues promptly
- Unloading incoming goods from trucks
- Replenish and rotate existing stock, monitoring product dates
- Pick and pack goods for despatch, and transfer stock
- Manage stock movement and perform pull-downs
- Remove damaged, low-date, or out-of-date products from shelves and place them in designated pallet spaces.
- Operate reach & counterbalance forklifts, and electric pallet jacks
- Perform duties within the chiller & freezer, including managing order-in stock and weighing fresh stock for picking.
- Accurately count and verify stock labels during receiving and picking processes
- Assisting with cycle counts and stocktakes as required
- Able to act as a delivery driver during peak periods or staff absences - this involves delivering dry, chilled and frozen produce using trolleys and hand unloading
- Perform general cleaning duties, including warehouse sweeping, spill management and rubbish management.
- Coordinate with other departments and warehouses to resolve any issues.
- Flag inventory discrepancies with the Warehouse Manager
- Complete all records and documentation, entering receipts
- Ensuring physical capability to perform the required tasks
- Adhering to all OH&S guidelines at all times, raising and reporting any hazards or issues promptly.
Skills and Attributes
- Must have the right to work Full-time in Australia.
- Previous experience (2+ years) in a similar role (cold temperature experience highly regarded)
- Hold a valid forklift license (essential)
- Hold a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) license (essential)
- Hold a current Working with Children Employer check (highly desirable)
- Maintain physical capability to perform the tasks.
- Possess a strong work ethic.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail and ensure accuracy, to enable accurate identification of products and quantities
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret instructions, write legibly for documentation purposes, and engage in verbal communications.
- Experience with RF scanners (highly desirable)
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all dealings
