Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Orchard Hills NSW is seeking an intermediate Solution Design Engineer to help design automated warehouse solutions for new business and existing customers. Based at Orchard Hills and reporting to the Solution Design Manager, you will translate customer requirements into practical, commercially sound designs.

You will collaborate across Business Development, Operations, Implementation and Finance to drive from concept and tender through to validation and implementation, with

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, logistics or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Good technical capability including systems integration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with design software.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement to present to senior stakeholders.
• Bonus: experience or exposure to warehouse automation.

Responsibilities

• Design warehouse solutions and evaluate storage, handling, and automation tech.
• Perform requirements analysis, manpower calculations, and investment cases.
• Develop solution proposals and present to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support end-to-end bid process including tender responses.
• Assess cost-benefit and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with BD, Operations, Finance, WMS, and implementation teams.
• Coach Solution Design Analysts in warehouse design and costing.
• Contribute to CEVA's design methodologies and best practices.
