Costa Group in Melbourne’s Epping market operates a busy warehouse handling fresh fruit and vegetables. We are seeking an experienced forklift operator and Warehouse Operator to join the night shift team, 5–6 days, with occasional weekends.

You will move produce, load and unload, perform pre-start checks, receive and dispatch goods, and help with packing while maintaining safety and accuracy. A current forklift licence and at least two years’ warehouse experience are preferred, with strong

What we are looking for:

An experienced forklift operator and Warehouse Operators preferably with produce market experience, who will be responsible for working with fresh produce in a busy market environment. Working across multiple teams, communication and forward planning skills are a must to ensure smooth operations. Availability to work 5-6 days for a 10pm to 12pm (Night shift) start including the occasional weekend, if required, is essential.

What you’ll do:

• Safe and efficient forklift transporting and tracking of fresh produce, loading and unloading of containers and trucks.
• Daily pre-starts and equipment checks to proactively identify maintenance issues.
• Receiving and Dispatch work.
• Picking and Packing orders, manual handling.
• Other duties to assist dispatch staff, as required.
• Current Forklift License essential, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or market environment.
• Previous experience working in Fresh Produce Markets highly desirable.
• An understanding or perishable goods picking, stock rotation and expiry date sorting.
• A cool head under pressure and ability to work in a diverse team.

What you’ll bring:

• Forklift license would be great! But not essential for the right person.
• Previous warehouse experience in FMCG environment preferred, but again - not essential
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly
• Ability to carry out consistent lifting of cartons weighing up to 20kg in a fast-paced environment
