Job summary

LE Surfaces Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Warehouse Storeman to manage daily operations in a fast-paced stone slab environment at the Yatala facility. You will handle receiving, storage, picking and dispatching, while maintaining strict WHS and inventory controls.

You will operate forklifts and slab handling gear, coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor on inbound/outbound logistics, and support the sales team with sample requests. A strong team player with attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a warehouse coordinator role.
• Experience in stone or building materials industry desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and safe slab handling.
• Valid forklift license and experience with slab clamps, jib attachments and A-frame/Slab Rack storage systems.
• Knowledge of WHS compliance and safe work procedures.
• Proficient with ERP or WMS inventory systems.
• Able to work independently and in a team with a positive attitude.
• Australian work rights to work in Australia.

With established sales and distribution channels in the USA and EU under the Vadara Surfaces brand, and one of the largest manufacturing facilities LE Surfaces is now making a significant investment into the Australian market.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and safety focused Warehouse Storeman to join the team at our Yatala facility. This role is ideal for a highly organised individual with a background in the stone, surfaces or building materials industry who thrives in a fast paced and growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily warehouse operations including receiving, unloading, storage, order picking and dispatching stone slabs.
• Operate and manage material handling equipment (MHE) including forklifts, jib attachments and slab clamps to handle engineered stone products safely.
• Implement and uphold workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures and ensure all staff adhere to compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems and conduct routine stock takes.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor inbound and outbound logistics including container scheduling, unloading and warehouse space management .
• Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor subcontractors and delivery drivers ensuring they comply with safe handling practices.
• Work closely with the Operations Team and Warehouse Supervisor to ensure warehouse readiness and compliance.

SAMPLES SUPPORT

- A core part of the role is supporting the sales team on sample requests (this is your area to own and organise)

Prepare, pack and dispatch samples for the sales team and customers.

Assembe display sets, floor stands, designer boxes and presentation kits.

Labelling, replenishing and maintaining sample stock and sales orders requests.

Working with the sales team loading cars.

About You:

• Minimum 3 year experience in a warehouse coordinator role.
• Experience in the stone industry or construction materials (mineral surfaces, granite or natural stone surfaces) are highly desirable.
• High attention to detail and ability to safely manage slab handling operations.
• Valid forklift license and proven experience with slab clamps, jib attachments and A-frame/Slab Rack storage systems.
• Strong understanding of WHS compliance, manual handling standards and safe work procedures.
• Competent with inventory management systems ideally with ERP or WMS exposure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with a positive genuine attitude.
• Must have Australian work rights and be eligible to work in Australia.
