Job summary

Costa in Brisbane seeks an experienced Warehouse & Forklift Operator to join a busy market environment. You will handle forklift transport, pick packing and despatch tasks across multiple teams, with rostered 2am starts and occasional weekends as required.

The role requires a current forklift license, with prior experience in fresh produce and stock rotation. You will follow SOPs, work safely and adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift License essential.
• Experience in Fresh Produce Markets desirable.
• Understanding of perishable goods picking, stock rotation and expiry date sorting desirable.
• Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures.
• Keep a cool head under pressure and work well in a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and track fresh produce using forklift; load/unload containers and trucks.
• Perform daily pre-starts and equipment checks to identify maintenance issues.
• Handle receiving and despatch workflows.
• Pick and pack orders; manual handling as needed.
• Assist despatch staff with other duties as required.

Shifts

Monday to Sunday, 1am or 2am starts available

This is a hybrid role. You will be required to complete pick packing and/or palletising duties, other manual handling tasks, as well as forklift operating duties.

Who We’re Looking For

An experience forklift operator with pick packing experience who will be responsible for working with fresh produce in a busy market environment. Working across multiple teams, communication and forward planning skills are a must to ensure smooth operations. Successful applicants will be rostered regular shifts for with a view to permanency for the right \"fit\". Availability to work 5-6 days for a 2am start including the occasional weekend if required is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safe and efficient forklift transporting and tracking of fresh produce, loading and unloading of containers and trucks.
• Daily pre-starts and equipment checks to proactively identify maintenance issues.
• Receiving and despatch work.
• Picking and packing orders, manual handling.
• Other duties to assist despatch staff, as required.
