  • Permanent | Toowoomba| $92k to $108k plus 14.75% super

Your future is Energy Queensland:

Energy Queensland, and our operational brands: Energex, Ergon Energy Network, Ergon Retail and Yurika, are at the frontline of progress. As Australia’s largest government-owned electricity organisation, we serve people and communities across the state and beyond. Here, you’ll help us deliver reliable energy solutions for our two million customers.

Join us as our next Warehouse Operator and amplify your impact. Our Supply team currently has a permanent opportunity available at our Toowoomba Warehouse.

Your opportunity:

As a Warehouse Operator, your role directly supports the work of our crews out in the field. You supply the materials and equipment needed at our various depots, making sure our field teams have exactly what they need, when they need it, to get the job done.

You process inbound and outbound orders and handle materials from receipt through to dispatch, including picking, packing, and labelling. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager and working with a fun, supportive team, you use a variety of tools, plant, and equipment – such as forklifts, powered mobile plant, pallet wrappers, and cable winding machines – to carry out your work safely and efficiently.

Your role is varied and active, with no two days the same. Some of your other duties include:

  • Conducting monthly safety audits and reporting hazards.
  • Performing cleaning duties to keep the warehouse functional, organised, and presentable.
  • Completing data entry tasks relating to stock control and supply levels.
  • Coordinating with field crews, suppliers, and external customers to manage logistics.
  • Recycling and disposing of redundant and hazardous materials, such as transformer oil.

Your remuneration is from $92k to $108k per annum + 14.75% super for a 9-day fortnight.

What’s on offer?

At Energy Queensland, we believe in supporting every aspect of your career and personal life. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Feel safe and supported: A safety-first culture and access to our 24/7 Employee Assistance Program.
  • Leave for real life: Access to additional health and wellbeing, culture and diversity leave options.

What you’ll bring:

You’re someone who knows your way around a warehouse and takes pride in being reliable, hands-on, and part of a solid team. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • Demonstrated recent experience in a warehouse operator role or similar.
  • A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence (manual preferred).
  • A current forklift ticket.
  • Understanding of material handling, storage, inventory, and warehousing methods.
  • Knowledge of heavy vehicle combinations including operating requirements, load restraint, and loading/unloading exclusion zones.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Basic computer skills and previous experience with data entry and processing documentation.
  • Understanding of safety procedures including:
    • Workplace health and safety policies;
    • Electrical safety regulations;
    • Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL);
    • Chain of Responsibility Law (CoR);
    • Load Restraint Guidelines; and
    • Supply works practices.

What matters most? For us, it’s our values: We’re Safe – We Belong – We Grow – We Deliver. If you’re going to be a part of our team, these should matter to you, too.

Important: Please note as part of the recruitment process, you’ll be required to undergo a pre-employment medical.
