Job summary

Baker Hughes in Australia is seeking a Production Operator to ensure safe, reliable delivery of products, perform QC sample testing, and support warehouse operations.

You will unload/load transport, assist with ISO9001:2015 compliance, and work with the Plant Supervisor to maintain HSE standards. A high school diploma and forklift experience are required; strong teamwork and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Relevant forklift license/experience is mandatory.
• Experience in Quality, Logistics, Warehouse, or Inventory Management is preferred.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems and implement improvements.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Capable of working in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis to verify material quality and prepare CoA (Certificate of Analysis).
• Take product QC samples as per procedures.
• Unload/load transport carriers according to sales or purchase orders.
• Assist in maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification with Plant Supervisor/Manager.
• Coordinate quality control on site with support and corporate teams.
• Adhere to HSE standards and implement the five fundamentals of a perfect HSE day.

Take ownership for our product line

As a Production Operator, you'll ensure safe and reliable delivery of products to customers. You'll conduct effective management of QC samples in compliance to Baker Hughes standard procedures. Maintaining the warehouse within housekeeping and storage standards.

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Performing laboratory analysis to verify material conforms to the corresponding product quality specifications and prepare CofA (Certificate of Analysis).
• Taking product QC samples as detailed in operations procedures.
• Unloading / loading transport carriers as per sales or purchase order status.
• Assisting with maintaining ISO9001:2015 certification through assistance to Plant Supervisor and Plant Manager
• Coordinating quality control on site with support and corporate functional group
• Meeting company expectations for HSE standards and policy, this includes applying 5 fundamentals of a perfect HSE day.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a High School Diploma or GED and relevant forklift experience including mandatory standard license
• Show good experience of working within Quality, Logistics, Warehouse, or Inventory Management environment.
• Display the ability to identify and resolve problems and be able to implement effective improvements.
• Show the ability to be a team player and work collaboratively.
• Demonstrate computer skills and be familiar with MS Office
• Have ability to work in a physical environment, often involving moving of heavy products
