Job summary

99 Bikes Pty Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join the Pedal Group Logistics team in Melbourne. The role focuses on picking and putting away bikes, handling inventory, and adhering to safety guidelines while working as part of a high‑performing team.

You will use an Order Picker and pallet jack, with opportunities for skill development, career growth, and involvement in a dynamic bike retail logistics network across Australia.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to pick and putaway bikes on an Order Picker.
• Receive, sort and organise incoming inventory.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
• Maintain tidy work area and ensure accuracy of orders.
• Operate pallet jack and other warehouse equipment safely.

With a vision to optimise logistics to drive efficiency across The Pedal Group, including 99 Bikes and Advance Traders in Australia and New Zealand.
We look after all warehousing and freight logistics for the group, along with some external bicycle industry partners. We operate warehouses in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, plus partner with 3PL providers in Adelaide, Perth and Auckland.

About the Pedal Group Logistics - Warehouse Operator role:

• Work in part of a team to pick and putaway bikes on an Order Picker
• Receiving, sorting and organising incoming inventory
• Ability to work hard to get orders completed on time
• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Must have good physical fitness and be able to walk, squat, lift safely and use a pallet jack for most of the day
• Keep a tidy work area
• High attention to detail is extremely important as the orders must be correct
• Interest in the bike industry and some knowledge of bike products is advantageous
• Some of our positions require LF/LO licenses

To Be Successful In This Role You Need:

• LO license advantages, however, not essential
• LF license and forklift experience a bonus

We opened the doors of our first shop in May 2007. The Milton shop was led by Matt Turner and was a small 170m2 - only fitting 99 bikes into the building.

A team of four kept the shop open seven days a week, twelve hours a day with one tiny room tripling as a workshop, office and stock room.

The integral team grew to 8 as our Milton shop flourished and our second shop was opened in Underwood. Most of the original team are still with us today.

Matt continued to use the advice of his father, Graham ‘Skroo’ Turner to evolve systems and processes in alignment with Flight Centre - a business model which has demonstrated success since 1981.
