AVIAN INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is seeking a Warehouse Operator to manage receipt, storage, handling and distribution of aircraft parts in a safety‑conscious environment. You will ensure traceability, stock integrity, and regulatory compliance while supporting engineering and maintenance teams.

The role covers documentation verification, stock control, and performing stock movements in WMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Senior secondary education required.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to learn.
  • Dangerous Goods awareness or certification preferred.
  • Safe Work Australia or WHS Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch aircraft parts with required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock takes.
  • Process stock transactions in WMS/ERP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with CASA, FAA, EASA and company quality procedures.
  • Follow WHS procedures and operate equipment safely.

Job description

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of aircraft parts and materials in accordance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements. The role ensures full traceability of components, maintains stock accuracy, supports engineering and maintenance teams, and upholds compliance with aviation regulations such as CASA, EASA, FAA, and internal quality standards.

What you'll do

The Warehouse Operator will train in various areas over time and be responsible for the following duties as well as any additional duties as assigned by management per business needs. Areas will include:

  • Inventory & Warehouse Operations
  • Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch aircraft parts with the required documentation.
  • Verify incoming documentation Airworthiness Certificate / C of C, conduct visual inspections, and quarantine non-compliant parts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktakes.
  • Process stock transactions in the WMS/ERP (e.g., AMOS, RAMCO, Quantum, AvSight, TRAX)
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Adhere to Civil Aviation Authority e.g. CASA, FAA, EASA, and company quality procedures for airworthiness-related material handling.
  • Ensure proper storage and transport of DG (Dangerous Goods) in accordance with the requirements of AS9120, IATA/ICAO rules.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe.
  • Follow all WHS - workplace health and safety procedures, including PPE, manual handling, and equipment operation (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
  • Systems, Documents & Administration
  • Accurately maintain electronic and physical records for all stock movements.
Working Hours & Aircraft On the Ground (AOG) Support
  • Must be able to work rostered shifts between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.
  • Must be willing and available for weekend AOG on-call duties after completing the required training.
Qualifications
  • Warehouse and forklift experience desired.
  • Aviation experience is an advantage; training will be provided.
Education
  • Senior Secondary Certificate of Education
  • Forklift certified desired (or wiliness to learn)
  • Dangerous Goods awareness or certification preferred
  • Safe Work Australia, or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety preferred
