Job summary

Budget Steel is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Support member for our Emerald site. This full-time role supports daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, packing and stock control within our distribution facility.

You will work with the team, maintain accurate inventory records, operate forklifts where trained, and follow all health and safety procedures. Forklift licence is essential, with on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse, storage or distribution.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Able to perform manual handling safely.
• Attention to detail with inventory records.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Forklift licence essential (training provided).
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental protocols.
• Reliable and punctual with good attendance.
• Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receipt, storage and organisation of inventory.
• Support picking and packing of orders.
• Maintain accurate stock movement records.
• Ensure a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts where trained.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Support inventory counts and stocktakes.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Report issues or damage to supervisors promptly.
