About the role

Position: Warehouse Officer

Working arrangements: 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday, on a 9-day fortnight

The Warehouse Officer reports to the Inventory and Warehouse Manager and plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient warehouse operations supporting production and maintenance activities. The role is based at Bayswater Power Station in the Upper Hunter, NSW, with excellent remuneration and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end MRO inventory, overseeing over 21,000 items worth up to $110+ million
• Utilise SAP for inventory tracking, stocktaking, and receipting
• Pick and stage parts for work orders, ensuring timely delivery
• Load/unload vehicles, pick and pack parts, operate machinery (MR trucks, cranes, forklifts)
• Collaborate with team, maintain safety and autonomy

Key Accountabilities

• Issue, receive, store goods, and monitor stock levels
• Respond to material and stock requests from staff and contractors
• Review and improve work systems and methods
• Conduct annual stocktakes at various stores
• Work safely, using PPE and machinery correctly, maintaining a tidy workplace

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• School Certificate or equivalent
• Experience in warehouse/inventory management, preferably in energy, mining, or heavy industry
• Mandatory C Class driver’s license; MR truck license preferred
• Knowledge of OH&S legislation and Dangerous Goods Act
• Competent in Microsoft Office and SAP MM system
• Organisational skills with minimal supervision
• Strong safety commitment and service focus
• Enthusiastic, flexible, proactive
