Job summary

Unique Health Products in Aura (Caloundra) is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Equipment Maintenance Coordinator for a 12-month contract to support a brand-new picking and dispatch warehouse automation system.

This role suits someone with mechanical or electrical trade experience, familiar with preventative maintenance and WH&S compliance, who can lead maintenance tasks, coordinate contractors, and keep meticulous records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in equipment maintenance or similar technical role.
  • Knowledge of WH&S in warehouse environments.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Experience with warehouse automation software and control systems.
  • Forklift licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of all warehouse equipment.
  • Maintenance & preventative works on automation system.
  • Minimise equipment downtime and operational disruption.
  • Maintain WH&S compliance in collaboration with Head of People, Culture and Safety.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, service providers and third parties.
  • Support external technicians with specialised or warranty repairs.
  • Sourcing and rebuilding parts; maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance logs.
  • Perform scheduled inspections and servicing on equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and assist with troubleshooting breakdowns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
  • Align maintenance activities with warehouse operational needs.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed and accurately recorded.
  • Safe operation of forklifts.
  • Assist other warehouse departments as directed by Head of Supply Chain.

We're a well-established Sunshine Coast business with 30 years of success and over 190 team members, currently operating across 6,000sqm of warehousing space in Aura. As Australia's leading distributor of natural, organic, and eco‑friendly health products, we have a strong appetite to excel.

About the Role

This newly created role, is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hands‑on Warehouse Equipment Maintenance Coordinator to help maintain a brand new picking and dispatch warehouse automation system.   • Ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all warehouse equipment
  • Maintenance & preventative works on our picking and dispatch automation system

  • Maintaining WH&S compliance in collaboration with the Head of People, Culture and Safety, including routine testing
  • Managing relationships with contractors, service providers and third parties
  • Supporting external technicians with specialised or warranty repairs
  • Sourcing and rebuilding parts; maintaining spare parts inventory and maintenance logs
  • Performing scheduled inspections and servicing on equipment
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and assisting with troubleshooting breakdowns
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance
  • Aligning maintenance activities with warehouse operational needs
  • Ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed and accurately recorded
  • Safe operation of company equipment and forklifts
  • Assisting other warehouse departments as directed by the Head of Supply Chain
Skills and Experience

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical or electrical trades, or a similar technical role
  • A mind for problem solving
  • Strong understanding of WH&S requirements in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with preventative maintenance scheduling and record‑keeping
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
  • Prowess in systems — comfortable navigating warehouse automation software, control systems and digital maintenance, with the confidence to pick up new systems quickly
  • A current forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities
  • Confident communicator; able to liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal teams in a calm, professional and respectful manner
  • A collaborative team player
  • Proficiency in maintaining logs, registers and digital maintenance records
