Job summary

Tennis Australia is seeking a Logistics Warehouse Assistant for their Altona North warehouse to support the Australian Open logistics. You will help with receiving, storing and moving event assets, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in warehousing, own a forklift license and a Victorian driver’s licence. A Construction Induction Card and MS Office skills are desirable as you work with warehouse databases and team colleagues.

Qualifications

Job description

At Tennis Australia (TA) plans are underway to deliver our summer of tennis for 2027! The Australian Open will be back and we're looking for a Logistics Warehouse Assistant to join our team until March 2027.

About the role

The Logistics Warehouse Assistant will play a key behind-the-scenes role in helping bring the Australian Open and our summer of tennis to life. Based at Tennis Australia's warehouse in Altona North, this position supports the Warehouse team with the maintenance, storage, movement, delivery and return of event assets used across the tournament.

Our warehouse is home to a wide range of event-related equipment and assets, stored both indoors on racking and flooring, as well as outdoors in shipping containers. In this role, you'll help ensure these assets are received, prepared and delivered safely, efficiently and on time - contributing directly to the high standards we aim to provide for our customers, stakeholders and event teams.

Working closely with the Warehouse Team and wider Logistics Team, you'll support operations in the lead-up to, during and post the Australian Open. This is a fast-paced, hands‑on role within one of our busiest and most exciting periods, where your work will help keep the logistics program moving within tight event timelines.

We're looking for someone with a positive attitude who is proactive, reliable, resourceful and quick to learn. You'll need to be comfortable working as part of a busy team, take pride in doing things safely and efficiently, and be ready to roll up your sleeves to support the successful delivery of a world‑class sporting event.

About you

• Demonstrate a high attention to detail
• Proven ability to be an effective team member with the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills - working with a diverse range of cultural backgrounds
• Computer literacy with experience in the use of event/warehouse related databases and Microsoft Office is desirable
• Qualification/experience in related field (desirable)
• Minimum 1+ years' experience working in a warehouse
• Willingness to obtain/Must have valid Construction Induction Card (or State or Territory equivalent)
• Current Forklift license is compulsory
• Minimum 1+ years' experience operating a forklift
• Current Victorian Driver's licence is compulsory
