Job summary

Creative Plastering & Building Supplies in North Albury NSW is seeking a reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our family-run team. You will receive and check deliveries, pick, pack and prepare orders, process sales through our system and help customers with enquiries.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, requires a current forklift licence, ability to lift plaster boards and heavy items, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have current forklift licence and be comfortable operating forklift.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, proactive and willing to learn.
• Experience in warehouse or logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming deliveries.
• Liaise with our drivers regarding deliveries and collections.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders.
• Create and process picking slips.
• Process customer sales and orders through the company system.
• Assist customers with enquiries and collections.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Assist with stock organisation and stock control activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure orders and deliveries are managed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming deliveries.

What we expect from applicant

• Comfortable lifting plaster sheets, building supplies and ladders etc
• MUST have CURRENT forklift licence and comfortable operating forklift
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Be confident using computer systems and email.
• Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Be reliable, proactive and willing to learn.
• Be physically capable of undertaking warehouse duties.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Be able to build knowledge of specialised building products and industry terminology.
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
• Building supplies, plasterboard or construction industry experience.
• Experience using inventory, sales or point-of-sale systems.
• Experience dealing with customers in a trade environment.

Long term work (6 plus months)

Full-time contract available to work Mon - Fri 7:00am to 4:00pm
