Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking a Health & Security Assistant (Wardsperson) for a full-time temporary six-month role in Newcastle, NSW. You will provide non-clinical support across the hospital, rotating 8-hour shifts and covering day, afternoon and night schedules.

Key duties include assisting nursing staff, transporting patients, attending emergency codes, and supporting security operations. WWCC, a Security Licence, and First Aid are required; on-call duties and various rosters apply.

Qualifications

• Current Security Industry Licence
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Responsabilités

• Assist nursing staff in patient care
• Transport patients for admissions and discharge
• Attend all emergency codes and mortuary duties
• Assist security staff in code black situations
• On-call for cleaning of discharge beds during night duty
• Attend to ICU on night shift, weekends and public holidays when ICU Technicians are unavailable
