Job summary

The Wesley Hospital in Australia is seeking a Ward Receptionist to join the team in a full-time capacity at the Auchenflower ward. This role involves essential administrative support, patient coordination, and first-point contact duties within a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient admissions, discharges and transfers using hospital systems (e.g. Cerner)
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensure documentation is filed and scanned
  • Liaise with clinical staff to support ward operations and patient flow
  • Answer and manage phone enquiries professionally and promptly
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors and internal departments
  • Support administrative tasks including forms, coordination and ward supplies
  • Assist with patient movements, meal coordination and general ward support
  • Resolve scheduling issues by liaising with Doctors' rooms and key stakeholders

Remuneration: $37.16 per hour + Super + Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

As a Ward Receptionist at The Wesley Hospital, you'll play an integral role in supporting our clinical teams and ensuring a seamless experience for patients, families and visitors. Your part in The Wesley Hospital team

As a Ward Receptionist, you'll provide essential administrative and clerical support to our nursing and clinical teams across the wards. Acting as the central point of communication, you'll help facilitate efficient coordination of patient information and services while ensuring a high standard of care and professionalism.

Your role will include:
  • Coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers using hospital systems (e.g. Cerner)
