St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is seeking a Ward Orderly on a casual basis. You will support patient movement, assist nursing and clinical teams, and help ensure a safe, efficient transport workflow across wards, theatres, ICU and other areas.

The role offers flexible shifts, competitive hourly remuneration of $29.89 plus 12% super and Not-for-Profit salary packaging, with additional penalties and allowances.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the safe transport and transfer of patients between wards, theatres, ICU and other clinical areas
• Support nursing staff with the safe repositioning and mobilisation of patients
• Assist with the movement and preparation of beds, wheelchairs, equipment and other items as required
• Use safe manual handling practices and mechanical lifting aids when assisting patients
• Support the cleanliness and safety of the hospital environment, including the appropriate collection and disposal of waste
• Follow hospital guidelines and procedures relating to infection prevention and control
• Provide respectful and considerate support to patients, maintaining their privacy, dignity and comfort at all times
• Work collaboratively with nursing, clinical and support teams to help ensure patients are transported safely and efficiently

An integral part of our team, as a Ward Orderly, you’ll support the safe and efficient movement of patients across the hospital and provide practical assistance to our nursing and clinical teams. You’ll work across a busy specialty hospital environment, supporting patients and teams across our wards and other clinical areas, including theatres and ICU. Your part in our St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital team

As a Ward Orderly, you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of patient care. You’ll assist with safely transporting, transferring and repositioning patients throughout the hospital while working closely with nursing and clinical teams.
