Job summary

St Stephens Private Hospital in Hervey Bay, QLD is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in anaesthetics and scrub/scout for casual or permanent part-time opportunities. You will join a five-theatre unit delivering a range of surgical services and patient-focused care.

Applicants need a Bachelor of Nursing and AHPRA registration, with minimum 12 months post-graduate experience. Flexible rosters, strong teamwork and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration.
• Full Australian Working Rights (sponsorship not available).
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including all shifts and strong WHS understanding.

Your Part in Our St Stephens Team

With five Operating Theatres we provide a range of inpatient surgical services including Bariatric, ENT, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urological, Vascular and General Surgery including Colorectal, Laparoscopic, Breast and Gastro-intestinal surgery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Apply sound clinical practice which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient health
• Effectively exchange information regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care
• Demonstrate application of the principles of clinical and workplace risk management
• Achieve optimum patient care through effective collaboration with other health professionals and coordination of care
• Achieves optimal patient outcomes through appropriate allocation of staff and delegation of work and effective communication skills

What makes a difference for us?

• A commitment to patient safety and quality improvements and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
