A leading healthcare provider in Melbourne is seeking a part-time Ward Clerk to coordinate communication and patient services. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer literacy and customer service skills. Experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Ward 2E is a General Surgery Ward with 28 beds.
We have a strong focus on team-work between nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, social work and many more where required. Timely quality care and proactive discharge planning with your involvement is paramount.
The Ward Clerk is responsible for the coordination of communication, patient services and clerical functions within the designated ward or department. As the first point of contact for many patients, visitors and staff, the Ward Clerk facilitates excellent customer service and is central to the efficient and effective running of the unit environment.
