Job summary

NSW Health at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney is seeking a Ward Administrative Officer (Level 2) for the Perioperative Unit on a temporary full-time contract until August 2027. You will support ward clerical operations and maintain the patient administration system.

The role runs Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 8:00pm with public holidays off, offering a structured public health career with salary packaging and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of Hospitals and Healthcare Systems.
• Ability to deliver high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to use initiative, work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Possess excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in a hospital ward administrative role will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• You will be supporting the clerical operations of the ward including accurately maintaining the computerised patient administration systems.
• You will be working Monday to Friday, 11:30am - 8:00pm, with public holidays off.
