The Role
The Wage Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring wage compliance across all operations by leveraging PaidRight\u2019s PayPrecision tool to conduct audits, resolve discrepancies, maintain award interpretations, and provide actionable insights that support payroll accuracy and legislative alignment.
This role is an initial 12-month contract with possibility of extension
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing optimisation of PaidRight\u2019s PayPrecision tool across CFL\u2019s payroll and time and attendance systems, ensuring accurate wage compliance and system alignment with legislative changes.
- Configure and maintain award interpretations within PayPrecision to reflect CFL\u2019s enterprise agreements and industrial instruments.
- Conduct pre-payroll compliance checks and regular audits using PayPrecision to identify and resolve discrepancies in entitlements, overtime triggers, pay rates, and timesheet anomalies.
- Utilise PayPrecision\u2019s workflow and reporting tools to delegate issue resolution, maintain audit trails, and generate actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Champion PayPrecision as a strategic compliance tool, promoting its role in reducing remediation risk and enhancing payroll integrity.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with wage-related legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and internal policies across CFL\u2019s Australian and international operations.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Operations, and PaidRight support to ensure consistent wage practices and system performance.
- Stay informed on industrial relations developments, including Fair Work Commission decisions and regulatory updates, and assess their impact on wage compliance.
- Prepare reports and insights on wage compliance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities for relevant leaders.
- Engage with external auditors, regulators, and legal advisors to support wage compliance reviews and investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement in wage compliance processes, systems, and controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in wage compliance, payroll auditing, or industrial relations within a complex, multi-site organisation.
- Strong understanding of modern awards, enterprise agreements, and Fair Work legislation.
- Hands-on experience with automated payroll compliance tools, preferably PaidRight\u2019s PayPrecision, including configuration, audit workflows, and reporting. (desirable)
- Proficiency in payroll systems and time & attendance platforms, with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- High attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex payroll data and identify anomalies.
- Experience working cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Operations, and Legal teams.
- Advanced excel skills
