Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, onboard and engage volunteers across services. You will deliver events, create content celebrating volunteers, and collaborate with internal teams and community partners to strengthen programs.

This role runs Monday to Friday, supports rostering, training and compliance, and aims to enhance the volunteer experience within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer coordination, recruitment, administration, communications or project management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging diverse stakeholders and community groups.
• Demonstrated experience in content creation, event coordination and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, reporting and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding and placement across Barwon Health.
• Organise volunteer events, orientations, appreciation activities and community engagement initiatives.
• Create engaging content for newsletters, social media and internal communications to promote volunteering and celebrate success stories.
• Support volunteer teams with rostering, training, compliance requirements and ongoing engagement.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records, databases, dashboards and reports, identifying opportunities to improve processes and volunteer experiences.
