Job summary

The City of Kwinana is seeking a Volunteer Support Officer to coordinate and grow volunteering opportunities across the community. You will connect people with meaningful volunteering roles and support not-for-profit groups and City services.

This role offers flexible hours, a pro rata salary band and a strong focus on building connections, recognition events and promotional activities that celebrate volunteers' contributions.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer recruitment, coordination and engagement or support.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Experience working with community groups and not-for-profits.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Sound computer literacy; databases and reports; ideally using volunteer management systems.
• Flexible approach; occasional weekends or outside standard business hours.
• Current Driver’s Licence, Apply First Aid certificate and National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the City’s volunteering activities, supporting recruitment, engagement and recognition of volunteers across Kwinana.
• Work with community members, local organisations and City teams to connect people with volunteering opportunities and help organisations attract and retain volunteers.
• Coordinate placements, maintain partnerships and deliver recognition events and promotional activities.
