We are seeking a Voids Technician to join our KCGMOperations,thisresidential roleis on an8/6 roster working 11-hour days.

As the Voids Technician, you will be responsible for managing the interaction of the open pit with historic mine workings and providing technical support and assistance to the mining operations with regards to void safety.

Here’s what awaits you:

Ensure that void related hazards are identified and safely managed through:

• Analysis of data from various sources to determine the location and nature of underground workings.
• Mitigation of voids associated with historic workings through methods such as deep blasting or backfilling.
• Determination of void shapes using a Cavity Auto Laser Scanner.
• Management of personnel and equipment entry across areas of historic workings.
• Review and update Voids procedures and work instructions.
