Job summary

Oberon High School in the Geelong growth corridor invites applications for a Classroom Teacher specialising in Vocational Major and Humanities. You will plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes and use data to inform teaching.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Postgraduate initial teacher education or equivalent accreditation as required by Victorian standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contributing to development and evaluation of curriculum areas.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related duties as directed by the principal.
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings and school activities.
• Supervising and mentoring student teachers.
• Using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.

Education

Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching

Postgraduate level accredited initial teacher education program (ITE)
