Job summary

XPT Software Australia is seeking a skilled VCF Administrator (JL5) with 8+ years of experience to manage VMware Cloud Foundation environments. You will handle SDDC Manager operations, workload domains, and upgrade activities across ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN, ensuring high availability.

The role requires expertise in NSX-T networking, incident/problem/change management, and Linux administration; automation via PowerCLI/PowerShell is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of VMware Cloud Foundation experience with SDDC Manager, workload domain management, lifecycle management, upgrades and patching.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, ESXi, DRS/HA/vMotion, and cluster administration.
• Hands-on experience with vSAN storage, policies, capacity management and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in NSX-T networking, distributed switches, routing, security policies and virtualization.
• Experience in incident, problem, change management, performance monitoring and Linux administration.
• Knowledge of PowerCLI/PowerShell and scripting for automation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support VMware Cloud Foundation environments and SDDC Manager operations.
• Deploy and maintain workload domains, perform infrastructure upgrades and patching.
• Manage ESXi hosts, vCenter, VMs, vSAN clusters and NSX-T networking components.
• Monitor health, troubleshoot, resolve incidents, and participate in change implementations.
• Assist with capacity planning, documentation, and disaster recovery activities; support security/compliance requirements.

• Theadministrator will monitor infrastructure health, perform troubleshooting,resolve incidents, participate in change implementations, carry out capacityplanning, maintain operational documentation, and support disaster recoveryactivities.
• Additionally, the role involves implementingautomation using PowerCLI or PowerShell, supporting security and compliancerequirements, managing user access, and participating in audit activities toensure adherence to organizational standards.
