St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School, Mackay, seeks a dynamic Principal to lead a three-stream Prep-Year Six Catholic school from January 2027. You will provide strategic leadership, strong Catholic formation, and a positive environment that nurtures faith, learning and community engagement.

You will work with the Catholic Education Office to support Teaching & Learning, First Nations Education, Inclusive Education, ICT, Finance and HR while guiding staff towards excellence and student

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and current teacher registration in Queensland.
• Experience leading in Catholic education or similar context is preferred.
• Ability to lead school improvement initiatives and manage stakeholder partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of teachers and staff to provide best opportunities for student learning.
• Report to the Diocesan Director through the Assistant Director: Schools (Northern Region).
• Foster Catholic identity, teaching excellence and safe, supportive environments.
