Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic School Mona Vale is seeking an exceptional Assistant Principal to commence in Term 1 2027. This visible leader will guide Catholic identity, instructional excellence, and community engagement across two sites, aligned to CSBB priorities.

The role focuses on building teacher capability, driving curriculum coherence, and strengthening relationships with families, staff, and parish to support growth and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• NESA-approved undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in Education.
• Postgraduate qualifications or study in Leadership, Theology, Religious Education or a related field.
• Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in a CSBB school at Level E.
• Accreditation at Lead Teacher (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead Catholic identity and foster authentic partnership with parish and families, modelling faith formation and discipleship.
• Lead high-quality teaching and learning through evidence-informed practice, curriculum coherence and rigorous assessment.
• Use data, research and evaluative practice to drive measurable improvement in student outcomes and school performance.
• Build teacher capability through mentoring, feedback, professional dialogue and collaborative planning.
• Contribute strategically to the school improvement plan in partnership with the Principal.
• Foster a cohesive, high-trust staff culture and lead change with clarity and emotional intelligence.
• Engage with families and the wider community to support enrolment growth via a strong school narrative.
