Job summary

St Mary’s Catholic College Gateshead is seeking an Assistant Principal to join our leadership team in a permanent full-time capacity, commencing in 2027. The College emphasises faith, excellence in teaching, and a caring community grounded in the Gospel values.

The successful candidate will lead across the school, develop a shared vision, and support teachers while upholding high standards and equity within a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year trained teacher with 6–8 years of teaching experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in Religious Education or Theological Studies.
• Current NESA Teacher Accreditation is required.
• Working with Children clearance is required.
• Anaphylaxis training completed or willing to complete.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Educational Leadership are desirable.
