Job summary

Garrang Wilam Primary School in Truganina, near Melbourne, seeks an experienced Principal and Assistant Principal to lead and model high-quality teaching and school-wide improvement. You will report to the Principal and oversee programs, budget and staff within your area, shaping policy, curriculum and whole-school performance.

Responsibilities

• The assistant principal reports directly to the principal and contributes to policy formulation and decision making.
• Manage significant school programs or functions within the area of responsibility, including budget and staff.
• Ensure DE policies and school frameworks operate consistently to cultivate a rich, engaging, and safe learning environment.
• Oversee teaching program delivery, staff development, and assessment practices to improve student outcomes.
• Foster a positive school culture and support student wellbeing and voice through evidence-based practices.
