Job summary

De Bortoli Wines in Rutherglen seeks Vintage Cellar Hands for the 2027 vintage period to join a collaborative cellar and winemaking team. You will assist with key cellar operations to ensure fruit, must, juice, and wine are processed safely and in line with quality standards.

This hands-on role offers practical experience across a range of winery processes. We value reliability, attention to detail and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• We are seeking safety-focused individuals who can engage in all aspects of vintage cellar operations.
• Flexibility to work long shifts and potentially nights during vintage.

Responsibilities

• Safely receiving fruit into the crusher area
• Transferring must, juice and wine as directed
• Operating winery equipment, including crushers, presses, pumps and clarification equipment
• Cleaning and sanitising tanks and cellar equipment
• Safely handling cleaning chemicals and wearing required PPE
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work environment
• Following all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
