Job summary

Tamburlaine Organic Wines in the Orange Region is seeking a hands-on 2027 Vintage Cellar Hand to support day-to-day winery operations with a focus on cellar tasks and teamwork. You will work with the Winemaking team on pressing, fermentation and filtration, while assisting with equipment maintenance and safety best practices to ensure efficient cellar performance during the vintage.

Qualifications

• Physically fit, reliable and punctual.
• Enthusiastic about learning the skills needed to join our vintage multi-cultural team.
• Cellar experience and an Australian Forklift Licence are an advantage but specific job training will be provided.
• Can work positively within a team environment.
• Have a sound understanding and commitment to workplace safety.
• Australian citizenship or a valid Australian work permit.

Responsibilities

• Complete all cellar activities in accordance with job sheets within appropriate timeframes.
• Assist with key cellar and winemaking processes including pressing, fermentation and filtration.
• Assist with maintenance of winery equipment to ensure the efficiency of cellar operations - this includes pumps, presses and plumbing.
• Communicate maintenance problems and potential solutions to the site Winemaker or Assistant winemaker.
