Job summary

Freyssinet Australia is seeking a motivated VIE Design Engineer to join our Corrosion & Technical Services Team. You will contribute to corrosion mitigation design for infrastructure projects across Australia.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will prepare calculations, drawings, and technical reports, supporting site investigations and client engagement while developing your international engineering career.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, Materials, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Eligible for the VIE program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of corrosion protection and remediation solutions.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Support condition assessments, inspections, and technical investigations of existing structures.
• Collaborate with construction, project, and technical teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Contribute to project planning, methodology development, and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and project requirements.
• Participate in site visits and inspections as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation within the business.

About the Role

About You

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering design software is advantageous.
