Overview

We are hiring! Here at Fair City Vets, we are looking for a friendly and approachable Veterinary Receptionist to join our fantastic team. This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week across Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, mainly based at Perth but you may be required to cover in Crieff Vets as and when required. There will also be 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:30am-12:30pm.

About The Role

As the first point of contact for our clients, you\'ll play a key role in delivering a warm, professional, and efficient service - both in person and over the phone. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and empathy
  • Managing appointments, phone calls, and emails efficiently
  • Taking payments and handling invoices accurately
  • Liaising with the clinical team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Maintaining confidentiality and patient records with precision
  • Supporting a calm and reassuring environment, especially during sensitive situations
Our ideal candidate
  • Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to ever changing situations
  • Highly organised and able to multitask in a busy environment
  • Empathetic and calm under pressure, especially when supporting clients through difficult times
  • Computer-literate, with confidence in using practice management systems (training provided)
  • Previous experience in a veterinary or medical receptionist role is desirable, but not essential - we value the right attitude and a willingness to learn!
