Job summary

Port Melbourne Vet is part of VetPartners, Australia’s largest veterinary care network. This Practice Manager role offers the autonomy to shape clinic operations, lead a close-knit team, and drive client service excellence.

You’ll work closely with a Regional Manager and Lead Vet, building a collaborative culture across the clinic, with a Monday–Friday schedule and strong team backing.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a Practice Manager or equivalent role.
• Veterinary nursing background preferred; relevant qualifications required.
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial and HR management capabilities.
• Experience with practice management systems (EzyVet).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of veterinarians, nurses, and staff.
• Oversee clinic operations including rostering, stock control, and compliance.
• Monitor financial performance: budgets, KPIs, and reporting.
• Drive high standards of client experience and service.
• Manage HR: recruitment, onboarding, performance, development.
• Handle client feedback with professionalism and care.
• Collaborate with Lead Vet and Head Nurse on goals.
