Sapphire Coast Veterinary Clinic in Merimbula, part of Apiam Animal Health, invites a qualified veterinary nurse to join our full-time team across Merimbula, Pambula and Eden. This hands-on role covers surgical nursing, anaesthesia, and hospital care, across three clinics with a collaborative team.

You’ll hold certificates (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing preferred), bring 2 years’ experience, and enjoy a supportive culture, mentoring opportunities, and accommodation assistance where

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (preferred) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Passionate about surgery, anaesthesia, and patient care.
• Able to work across three clinics with a team-focused mindset.
• Willing to mentor junior staff and contribute from day one.

Responsabilités

• Monitor anaesthetics during procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and hospital nursing.
• Collect and process blood/urine samples using Idexx machines.
• Perform radiography and imaging as needed.
• Admit and discharge patients across Merimbula, Pambula, and Eden.

About the Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced veterinary nurse to join our team on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on nursing role where you’ll be involved in all aspects of hospital and surgical nursing. You’ll need to be confident in:

• Monitoring anaesthetics
• Pre- and post-operative care, and care of hospital patients
• Collecting and running blood/urine samples using Idexx machines
• Radiology
• Admitting and discharging patients

You’ll work across our three clinics, so flexibility and a team-first attitude are essential. In return, you’ll enjoy variety, autonomy, and the support of a close-knit team.

About You

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technician Degree (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with well-rounded nursing skills
• Passionate about surgery, anaesthesia, and patient care

• Enjoy mentoring and supporting junior staff
• Confident, proactive, and ready to contribute from day one
