Job summary

4 Paws Vet on Sydney’s Lower North Shore is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our busy, supportive team. With 3+ years’ nursing experience, you will provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care, in-house pathology, dental work and radiology, while building strong client relationships.

You will support the Head Nurse with daily operations, mentor junior staff and help maintain Silver ISFM standards in a friendly, well-equipped practice.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ nursing experience in a veterinary setting.
• Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine team player.
• Calm and professional, even when busy.
• Confident and highly skilled in client communication.
• Passionate about excellent patient care.
• Keen to learn, grow and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across surgical and hospital nursing, including pre- and post-operative care.
• Perform in-house pathology, dental procedures and radiology.
• Build relationships with clients via nurse consultations, admissions and discharges, with occasional reception support.
• Support Head Nurse with day-to-day nursing team and hospital workflow.
• Mentor and support junior team members and workplace students.
• Handle cats confidently; contribute to Silver ISFM accreditation.
