Job summary

Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) in Miranda, NSW, seeks an experienced radiographer for a 10-month casual/part-time role commencing December 2026, with a handover period before nine months of leave coverage. The role focuses on MRI and CT imaging to support neurology cases.

Work across Emergency, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Cardiology and Neurology, collaborating with human sonographers.

Qualifications

• The role requires strong practical MRI experience and CT competence.
• Experience with brain and spine MRI is preferred.
• Clear communication and collaborative approach with a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to learn veterinary anatomy and clinical workflows.
• Registration and radiation-use authorisations applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and CT examinations with emphasis on neurological cases.
• Deliver high-quality brain and spine imaging to support clinical assessment.
• Adapt imaging protocols in consultation with the clinical team.
• Assess image quality, troubleshoot artefacts and perform reconstructions.
• Maintain MRI safety standards, imaging records and QA processes.
• Coordinate imaging efficiently within a busy specialist hospital.
