Job summary

Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) seeks an experienced MRI/CT Radiographer to join our specialist hospital in Miranda. The ten-month appointment starts December 2026 with handover and leave coverage, offering potential for ongoing employment based on service demand and performance.

The role emphasises neurology imaging, collaboration across departments, and veterinary-specific onboarding. Applicants from human radiography are welcome, with veterinary adaptation supported.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in diagnostic radiography or medical imaging.
• Strong practical MRI experience and competence in CT.
• Experience in brain and spine MRI.
• Sound judgement in MRI safety, protocol selection and image optimisation.
• Clear communication, a collaborative approach and confidence working with a multidisciplinary team.
• A willingness to learn veterinary anatomy, positioning and clinical workflows.
• The registration and radiation-use authorisations applicable to the position.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and CT examinations, with a particular emphasis on neurological cases.
• Deliver high-quality brain and spine imaging to support clinical assessment and treatment planning.
• Adapt imaging protocols in consultation with the clinical team.
• Assess image quality, troubleshoot artefacts and complete appropriate reconstructions.
• Maintain MRI and radiation safety standards, imaging records and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate imaging efficiently within a busy specialist hospital.
