Job summary

Greencross Macedon Ranges in Woodend, VIC, is seeking a Veterinary Associate to join our rural practice on a permanent part-time basis (minimum 28.5 hours per week). The role suits a vet confident in consultations, routine surgery and sole charge when required, with a diverse caseload and wildlife presentations.

You will work with an experienced team of nurses and a Veterinary Director focused on ultrasound and internal medicine, delivering high-quality care in-house where possible.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree recognised for registration in Australia.
• A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in small animal practice.
• Confidence in routine surgery and general practice consultations.
• Comfortable working sole charge when required.
• Flexible and adaptable approach with high standards of care.
• Strong communication, organisational and client relationship skills.
• Collaborative mindset and enjoyment of team work.

Responsibilities

• Consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning and ongoing patient care.
• Routine surgical procedures and in-house management of cases.
• Manage wildlife presentations and varied rural caseload in Woodend.
• Collaborate with nursing team and Veterinary Director on ultrasound and internal medicine cases.
