Overview

Join the Creative Industries team within Vocational Education. Full-time, 12m fixed-term position commencing from 2 Feb 2026 at our Hawthorn campus. T1-T3 salary depending on quals and experience + 17% super and time allowance for Course Coordination tasks.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes, reflecting an understanding of successful approaches to Graphic Design teaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in continuous improvement and develop high quality teaching and assessment materials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentoring and student experience.
  • Possess sound computer skills to email, access databases, MS Office and/or other Learning Management Systems.
  • Current practical experience within the Graphic Design industry including Vocational experience in:
    • Adobe Creative Suite - strong skills in InDesign for pre-press
    • Packaging experience
    • Strong typography skills
    • Knowledge of design history and theory
    • Brand strategy expertise
Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 (essential)
  • A tertiary qualification in a related Design field (preferred)
