Job summary

Rottnest Express, part of the Journey Beyond Group, seeks an experienced Vessel Master to oversee the safe operation of the vessel while delivering exceptional guest service on Rottnest Island routes. Qualifications

• Experience in the marine tourism industry is essential.
• Experience as Vessel Master operating in Fremantle/Rottnest Island is highly desirable.
• Certification in maritime operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with marine standards and safe vessel operation.
• Conduct safety drills and toolbox talks with the crew.
• Maintain daily vessel logs using Helm system.
• Assist in training and developing crew members.
• Provide leadership and guidance to crew.
• Delegate daily duties and oversee vessel operations.
• Oversee loading/unloading and passenger boarding.
