Blayney Shire Council is seeking a dedicated Leading Hand - Verge Maintenance to manage a civil works crew, focusing on verge upkeep and roadside presentation. This full-time role emphasises leadership, safety and quality outcomes for the local community.

The successful candidate will supervise operations under the Local Government (State) Award, benefit from a four-day week, and have access to training including a Certificate III in Civil Works (Plant).

Qualifications

• Experience in Tractor Operations.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Must have a driver licence (Class C); MR desirable.
• Must have a White Card (SafeWork NSW).
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Positive, proactive and community-focused attitude.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support a team in maintaining verges and roadside areas.
• Ensure work is completed safely, to standards and on time.
