Job summary

Australian Venue Co. seeks a highly accomplished Venue Manager for the Aussie Hotel Shepparton in regional Victoria. You will lead daily operations, people leadership, customer experience and commercial results.

You will drive sales, ensure compliance and manage late-night trade, TAB activities and service standards. Relocation and sponsorship may be available; commitment of 18–24 months is expected to align with growth.

About the venue

The Aussie Hotel is a sizeable, established venue with consistent trade across the year. With a recently renovated space, a new kitchen nearing completion and a strong existing team, the venue is well positioned for its next phase of growth. The venue operates TAB facilities and enjoys a strong late-night customer base on Friday and Saturday nights. With the right leadership, there is significant opportunity to continue developing the team, strengthen the customer experience and drive the venue towards its full potential.

About the role

As Venue Manager, you will take ownership of the venue’s day-to-day performance, people leadership, customer experience and commercial results. You will:

• Lead and develop an established venue team
• Drive sales, profitability, compliance and operational standards
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and the local community
• Maintain a high standard across service, presentation, safety and compliance
• Maximise opportunities across food, beverage, TAB and late-night trade
• Support the continued growth and development of the venue
• Work closely with the Area Manager and wider support team to deliver results

About you

You will be an experienced hospitality leader who is commercially astute, operationally capable and motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine impact. You may be an experienced Venue Manager, Assistant General Manager or senior hospitality leader ready to step up. Most importantly, you will bring:

• Proven experience leading a large or high-volume hospitality venue
• Strong people leadership and team development capability
• Commercial understanding and a focus on delivering results
• Sound knowledge of hospitality compliance and responsible service
• Experience managing late-night trade
• The confidence to lead an established team and drive positive change
• A genuine interest in regional living and becoming part of the Shepparton community
• A Victorian RCG is highly regarded

You will also need to hold, or be willing to complete, the required TAB 1 and TAB 2 training, licencee training and dealing training.

Relocation and sponsorship

Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate. We are also open to having sponsorship discussions with exceptional candidates. Any sponsored candidate must be able to commit to a minimum of 18–24 months at the Aussie Hotel Shepparton. Following that commitment, there may be opportunities to explore further career progression and movement within the wider business. Temporary accommodation support and assistance navigating the local rental market may also be available where required.
