Job summary

AVC Operations Pty Limited - Rockhampton QLD is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead Berserker Tavern’s busy operation and develop a high-performing team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong commercial performance.

You will manage labour, costs and profitability while building community relations and maintaining compliance. Minimum 2 years in a similar role and a commercial mindset are essential for success.

We're looking for an experienced Venue Manager to lead the team and continue building on the venue's strong local reputation. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality leader who enjoys running busy operations, developing people, driving commercial results and creating memorable guest experiences.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the day-to-day operations of a high-volume hospitality venue
• Building, coaching and developing a high-performing management and venue team
• Driving a positive team culture with a strong focus on talent development and succession planning
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards
• Managing labour, wages, stock, costs and venue profitability
• Growing community engagement and building strong local relationships
• Ensuring compliance with all company policies and legislative requirements

We're looking for someone who

• Has at least 2 years' experience in a similar Venue Manager role
• Is a stable and proven hospitality leader with strong tenure
• Has a commercial mindset and understands how to drive revenue and profitability
• Has a track record of building, developing and retaining great teams
• Leads from the front with strong communication and people leadership skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment
