Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a Venue Manager for the Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre in Moss Vale, NSW. You will lead operations, drive service excellence and manage a high-performing team to deliver outstanding customer experiences for a vibrant community facility.

Reporting to Belgravia Leisure, you will oversee financial and program performance, foster a positive workplace culture and ensure aquatic safety across mornings, evenings and weekends in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a cross-functional team
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation
• Experience in pool operations and plant room management
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Experience planning operational, financial and people plans

About The Facility

Located in the heart of the Southern Highlands, Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre is a modern, community-focused leisure facility that provides health, fitness, recreation and aquatic services to the Moss Vale community and surrounding region. The centre features a 25-metre indoor heated pool, program and leisure pools, a children's splash pad, 24/7 gym, group fitness studio, café and creche, delivering a diverse range of programs and services for people of all ages and abilities.

Managed by Belgravia Leisure on behalf of Wingecarribee Shire Council, the Centre is a valued community hub where health, wellbeing and customer experience are at the forefront. About The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Venue Manager to lead the operations of this thriving community facility and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational, financial and program performance of the Centre, while fostering strong connections with the local community and leading a high-performing team. A key focus of the role is building a positive workplace culture, driving team engagement and upholding the values of Belgravia Leisure.

We are seeking a professional and dynamic leader who brings energy, vision and proven management experience, ideally within the leisure, aquatic, fitness, recreation or facility management sectors. Through effective leadership and staff development, you will empower your team to deliver outstanding customer service, maintain the highest standards of aquatic safety and achieve the Centre's operational and contractual objectives. Applicants with strong operational expertise and a passion for community-focused facilities will thrive in this rewarding leadership opportunity.

About You:

Possessing strong communication skills, youare able tobuild rapport and positive relationships with people. Ideally you will have experience in managing ateam, working on and in the business, and a willingness to be the face of the facility.

With a flair and ability to positive influence and negotiate win-win outcomes, you lead by example. You are tech savvy and have a sound knowledge of health and safety legislation. You possess values such as integrity, excellence, courage, openness, respect leadership and accountability.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
• Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrated experience of plant room management and pool operations orability to obtain
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.

Desirable or Willing to Obtain:

• Pool Life Guard Certificate
• National Police Check & Working with Children Check
• Current CPR Certificate & First Aid Certificate
