Job summary

BOUNCEinc is seeking an Assistant Venue Manager in Sydney to lead a fast-paced, customer-focused team on the floor. You’ll coach and develop staff, own daily operations, and partner with the Venue Manager to maintain world-class standards.

You’ll drive guest experiences, safety, and performance while shaping a positive team culture. This is hands-on, fast-moving leadership that rewards initiative and collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the Tribe: coach and motivate a dynamic venue team; build a culture of teamwork and accountability; develop capability through coaching and feedback; set the standard for customer experience and safety.
• Own the Customer Experience: deliver world-class service; respond to feedback; ensure venue is energetic, welcoming, and clean.
• Drive Venue Performance: help deliver KPIs across sales, experience, safety, labour and costs; identify opportunities and drive improvements.
• Keep Things Safe & Running Smoothly: uphold safety, compliance and risk management; ensure procedures are followed; act as Venue Manager when required.

Your Next Move: Venue Management

At BOUNCE, no two days are the same. One minute you could be coaching your team through a busy Saturday session, the next you're solving a customer challenge, jumping into the action on the floor or making a call that keeps the entire venue running smoothly.

As an Assistant Venue Manager, you're not here to simply support from the sidelines. You're part of the leadership team helping run the show.

Working alongside the Venue Manager, you'll play a key role in leading the venue, driving performance, developing your team and creating the kind of customer experiences people remember long after they've left.

You'll have genuine ownership, real responsibility and the opportunity to make a visible impact every day. You'll lead a diverse, energetic team. You'll coach and develop emerging talent. You'll keep customers coming back. You'll drive commercial performance. You'll make sure safety and operational standards are world-class. And when the Venue Manager is away, you'll step up and take the lead.

What You'll Own

Lead the Tribe

• Support the Venue Manager to lead, coach and motivate a dynamic venue team.
• Build a culture of teamwork, accountability, progression and fun.
• Develop your team’s capability, confidence and performance through coaching and feedback.

Own the Customer Experience

• Create unforgettable experiences for every customer who walks through our doors.
• Lead your team to deliver world-class customer service.
• Respond to customer feedback and turn opportunities into better experiences.
• Ensure the venue is energetic, welcoming, clean and ready for action.

Drive Venue Performance

• Support the Venue Manager to deliver key venue KPIs across sales, customer experience, safety, labour and COGS.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and commercial results.
• Help manage labour effectively and ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.
• Use venue performance data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Keep Things Safe & Running Smoothly

• Maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and risk management.
• Ensure operational procedures and standards are followed consistently.
• Identify and address operational risks before they become problems.
• Keep the venue running smoothly, efficiently and to BOUNCE standards.
• Act as Venue Manager when required, taking ownership of the venue and team.
• Make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead through challenges and keep the team focused when things get busy.
• Be a trusted partner to the Venue Manager and wider leadership team.

What You Bring to the Tribe

You might come from hospitality, retail, fitness, recreation, entertainment, leisure or another high-volume customer environment - what matters most is your ability to lead people and deliver great team and customer experiences.
