Job summary

Powerfleet is seeking a Field Installation Technician in Australia to deliver high-quality installations for IVMS, fatigue monitoring, Vision AI, and in-warehouse systems. You will manage installations, perform testing, and uphold safety and quality standards on-site.

The role requires hands-on automotive experience, the ability to travel to customer sites, and strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience installing technical systems in vehicle/telematics environments.
• Minimum 2 years field installation or technical experience.
• Automotive experience essential (mechanic/auto electrician) with hands-on vehicle work.
• Strong ability to work independently on complex installations.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites; valid driver’s license; working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle and equipment installations for IVMS, fatigue monitoring, Vision AI, AD+, and in-warehouse systems per procedures and quality standards.
• Execute wiring, mounting, calibration, and system configuration; complete pre- and post-install testing to validate functionality.
• Support onsite coordination for large deployment projects; oversee installation activities and QA of partner work.
• Troubleshoot installation issues across diverse equipment and configurations; document issues and feedback.
