Job summary

Autoxtreme - WORLDMARK, part of the MotorOne Group, is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician for field repairs and maintenance across a wide range of vehicles in Australia.

You will install vehicle electronics, telematics, safety tech, and accessories, diagnose faults, read wiring diagrams, and deliver quality installations with attention to detail. A team environment with ongoing training awaits.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with wiring diagrams literacy.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Installing vehicle tracking and telematics systems.
• Fitting reverse cameras, parking sensors and dash cameras.
• Installing UHF radios, communication equipment and GPS units.
• Installing security systems, immobilisers and battery management systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical faults.
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
• Testing completed installations to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assisting with fleet fit-outs and specialised vehicle projects.

Auto Electrician - Field Repairs & Maintenance

This is a hands-on role involving the installation of automotive electronics, fleet management systems, safety technology, and vehicle accessories across a wide range of passenger, commercial, and fleet vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Installing vehicle tracking and telematics systems
• Fitting reverse cameras, parking sensors and dash cameras
• Installing UHF radios, communication equipment and GPS units
• Installing security systems, immobilisers and battery management systems
• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical faults
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical schematics
• Testing completed installations to ensure quality and compliance
• Assisting with fleet fit-outs and specialised vehicle projects

About you

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent)
• Previous experience as an Auto Electrician or Vehicle Electronics Installer
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
• High attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
